Stop being the outsider in your Polish partner's world. Start speaking Polish.

Excellent 4.9/5 on Trustpilot · 16K+ students

This 86-lesson, step-by-step program is for you if…

  1. You've been with your Polish partner for years – and your whole relationship lives in English, their second language. You love them with all your heart, and your future is shared: their family, their country, maybe one day children who grow up speaking Polish. You want to belong to all of it – not just the English half.
  2. Every time you're in Poland – visiting your partner's family or just travelling together – you're still the turysta. Your partner translates, the in-laws don't quite take you seriously, and all you can say is “tak”, “dziękuję” and “dzień dobry”. You want to be taken seriously at the family table, hear “wow, you speak Polish!” when you buy a zapiekanka or pay at Biedronka – and feel that this culture is yours too.
  3. When your partner's Polish friends come over, you become the quiet one. After 15 minutes of fast Polish, your brain switches off and you reach for your phone. In English you're funny and talkative. Around Polish speakers you disappear – and that's not who you are.

Extremely happy with this course

Extremely happy with this course, everything I expected and more. This isn't any ordinary course you would sign up to and give up on after a few weeks because you're bored and you aren't actually learning anything. From the first video I watched I was learning the foundations of the language that I hadn't come across in over 4 months of previous studying by myself. Every lesson builds on the previous one making your polish skills stronger with every video you watch. The vocabulary and grammar are very well explained and are consistently reviewed which helps it stick in your head without you even realising until you come to use it! I went in expecting a standard course of videos but there is much more to it than that, Weronika provides extra resources like flashcards, interactive exercises and voice recordings for study outside of the course. I was wary about the price of the course but it is worth every penny and more, I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn the polish language 100%!

Surprisingly good and effective

I am really surprised at how good this is. I have tried for years to learn Polish, and frankly sessions with the tutor just left me confused and frustrated. Weronika gives clear and simple explanations, followed with examples, and this has somehow allowed me to understand concepts which I could not previously grasp. I have also realised that this method of learning is more effective, as it allows one to do a little every day. The lessons are split into manageble sized videos, so it is not too daunting. Most of them appear to be between 15 and 25 minutes, so doing 1 or 2 seems like not such a big task, and of course you can repeat them if you feel that you need more practice. I am quite early on in the course, but already it has given me the confidence to start using the language for simple everyday tasks, rather than just asking if someone speaks English. I recommend this, even for people like me who have no talent in learning languages.

Weronika is a fantastic teacher!

Weronika is a fantastic teacher, and her course is designed in a manner that has made learning Polish fun, engaging, and an overall wonderful experience for me. If you are learning Polish from scratch like myself, I highly recommend you purchase her "Zero to Hero" course.

Teacher to teacher

As a language teacher myself I can detect Weronika's professional didactical structure and appreciate that she doesn`t gloss over grammar but explains it logically with hidden repetition and motivating tasks. The course is comprehensive, enjoyable and enables quick success. I'm really looking forward to my next visit to Poland to order some ham!

I bought these lessons two years before…

I bought these lessons two years before I moved to Poland permanently, but I didn't have the chance to use them often because I was busy with work. When I moved to Poland this January, I enrolled in a university Polish language course. Although the classes were helpful, I struggled to understand many things because the grammar was difficult. After the course ended, I remembered that I had Weronika's lessons. When I started using them again, everything made much more sense. Her explanations were so clear that I could easily understand every lesson, and learning Polish became much easier for me.

I have just completed the first 10…

I have just completed the first 10 lessons and I can honestly say that I feel confident that i can walk into a shop in Poland and order myself some food and drinks, with the add on of being polite when asking for it. I think Weronika method of repetition plus new words after every chapter realy helps to sink in the learning structure. Rather than decorating formulas or ways of saying something, you actually learn how to communicate. Obviously you need to put effort on expanding your vocabulary to suit your needs, but thats why we have dictionaries for it. I know how to order coffe and wine for example, but if perhaps fancy an orange juice, i just need to find the relative words for it, but the structure of how to ask for it remains the same. So far, im extremely happy with it, only learning around my personal commitments but still making progress. I highly recommend the course!!!

Speak Polish with confidence in real-life situations.

By the end of the course, you can finally:

  • Grow closer to your partner – your relationship no longer lives only in their second language. You meet them halfway, and they feel it.
  • Chat with your in-laws without your partner translating – simple, basic conversations at Sunday obiad, Wigilia or Wielkanoc. When your mother-in-law asks you something, you know what you're saying “tak” to. When your father-in-law asks how work is going, you answer him yourself – no more confused “help, translate!” looks at your partner.
  • Get around Poland without hiding behind your partner – grab a hot dog at Żabka and understand the cashier's questions (“Z jakim sosem?”, “Żappka?”, “Paragon?”), pay at Biedronka, read the basic signs in Warsaw. Go out on your own – and come back proud.
  • Understand more of your partner's world – catch what the phone call with their mum is about, recognise the words they mutter when they're annoyed, sing along to the chorus of their favourite Polish song. A lot less guessing what they're saying (or what they're saying about you 😉).
  • Take the first step towards your future together – longer stays in Poland, maybe even moving there and handling the basics yourself at the doctor's, the bakery or the post office. And if children might be part of your story: their first Polish words, and one day the parents' meetings at school.

Because maybe you've already tried…

  • Apps.

Duolingo, Busuu, Pimsleur, Memrise, Mondly, etc. You kept the streak alive for weeks… and still panic when you have to order a coffee in Polish.

  • YouTube.

PolishPod101, Easy Polish, etc. Hundreds of videos saved and watched – but the moment someone talks to you, it's all gone.

  • A textbook.

Like Hurra!!! Po polsku or Krok po kroku — which you opened approximately four times 😅. Or maybe you used one with a teacher during 1:1 lessons, but it just didn't make sense, or you got discouraged pretty quickly.

  • Another Polish course.

Group, individual or self-paced... You showed up, did the homework – and still couldn't follow a normal conversation.

...and technically, you DO know some Polish.

But then someone asks you something unexpectedly and… your brain goes completely blank. 🤯

👇 You know words like 👇

  • herbata
  • piwo
  • dzień dobry
  • cześć
  • chcę
  • jestem
  • kur*a 😂

But forgetting that you're speaking Polish so that you can be mentally present in a conversation, become absorbed in what is happening in front of you & what your partner, your mother-in-law at Sunday obiad (or your partner's friends talking over each other at a domówka!) are saying, having an actual INTUITIVE conversation that you have in your native language??

well, haha. that is a different story

And THAT is what we're going to work on. You need Polish to finally click. 🤌

What if you never had to say “in English, please” again – because your partner's language became yours too?

Not perfect Polish.
Not "I memorised this dialogue yesterday" Polish.
YOUR Polish.

Couple smiling at each other at the dinner table
"I'm SO proud of you."My partner's words the first time I surprised them in Polish. Worth every minute.
Young woman and her mother listening at a candlelit table
"They SEE my effort."My in-laws finally take me seriously. I'm not just the polite guest anymore – I'm part of the family.
Man at a candlelit Christmas Eve table with his partner's family
"I have my OWN relationship with them."My partner's family smiles every time I speak – funny accent and all. A different reality.
Hand holding a hot dog with ketchup and mustard
"I ordered it ALL BY MYSELF."A hot dog at Żabka, bread at the bakery – while my partner just stood there grinning.
Friends spending time together in a cosy kitchen
"Now they know the REAL me."My partner's friends used to switch to English for me, like I was temporary. Now I'm here to stay – and they know me in THEIR language.
Smiling man texting on his phone
"No Google Translate. No AI. Just US."We crack up adding Polish endings to English words and vice versa (“let's go shoppingować!”). Our own jokes, in two languages, every day.

That independence is exactly what this program is built to get you. 💪

Does this sound like you?

I’m trying to get better at Polish. Unfortunately, I’m still at A1 level. My boyfriend is Polish, and I would like to be able to talk to his family without being dependent on his translations.

I have a Polish partner, and I’d like to communicate with her and her family, who don’t speak English. We speak English together, but I’d love to surprise her by speaking Polish.

I have a Polish wife, and we live in Gdańsk. Unfortunately, I don’t speak a word of Polish.

  • Thursday 10:10 PM

I have a Polish girlfriend, but we talk in English. I’d like to be able to talk in Polish.

  • Wednesday 1:37 PM

I find it extremely difficult to repeat or even grasp what people say – it’s all fuzzy, and even with slower talking, pronunciation is hard. I have zero Slavic background, so the words don’t just magically make sense in my brain.

  • Monday 11:24 AM

I have a Polish girlfriend, and I want her to be my wife in the future.

  • Sunday 8:15 PM

I live in New York. My fiancé is Polish, and I want to learn Polish to surprise him and start understanding what he’s talking about with Polish people.

  • Saturday 9:02 AM

I’d like to propose to my partner and ask her parents’ permission first. But I’d like to do it in Polish.

  • Friday 4:48 PM

My husband is Polish, and my in-laws don’t even speak English.

  • Thursday 7:20 PM

I’ve been learning since April – mostly with Duolingo and, of course, my Polish boyfriend. We live together, so I hear Polish every day, and I try to write down words and short sentences, but I struggle. I’d love to learn properly.

  • Tuesday 7:55 AM

My partner is Polish, and we have a two-year-old who understands it well. I know some basics. We live in England. My long-term goal is to be able to speak Polish as a second language.

Your partner may want to help, but they're not a teacher.

Between work and everyday life, there's never time. So years go by – and you still can't put a Polish sentence together.

  • Every now and then, your partner teaches you a word or two – but they can't explain why kot suddenly becomes kota, how to build your own sentences or what to learn next.
  • You've asked “how do you say…?” a hundred times – and forgotten the answer by the next day.
  • You open an app for five minutes before bed. Your streak looks great. Your Polish doesn't.
  • You keep saying “I'll start properly next month”… for the third year in a row – because there are so many options, you don't know where to start.

Speaking is a skill.

Kids pick up a language just by hearing it. Adults don't. You need to practise building sentences, hearing real Polish, responding and using what you learn in context – in the right order.

The good news? Whether you've been together for six months or ten years – even with zero Slavic background – it's not too late, and you can start exactly where you are.

… That's why I created my method differently.

Weronika - Learn Polish with Weronika Real student results and social proof

Meet the Active Speaking Method

I don't want you to finish my lesson thinking:

“Great. I understand the grammar.”

“Wait... I can actually SAY this now.”

Inside the program, we build your Polish around practical sentences and situations you can actually encounter.

You learn the grammar - but you immediately use it.

You learn vocabulary - but not as 50 disconnected words you'll forget next week.

You listen - so Polish stops sounding like one impossibly fast stream of szc*czczcz*cz. 😅

  1. You repeat.
  2. You build sentences.
  3. You practise.

And gradually, instead of translating every sentence from English… you start reaching for Polish automatically.

Let's be honest for a second

“But Weronika… POLISH IS IMPOSSIBLE.”

I know.

  • Seven cases.
  • Three genders.
  • Verb aspects.
  • Words that look like somebody dropped a Scrabble box on the floor.

Polish isn't the easiest language in the world.

But complicated doesn't have to mean confusing.

You don't need to understand every possible grammatical exception before opening your mouth. You need somebody to take the language apart, explain the logic in human language and tell you:

  • Learn THIS now.
  • Ignore THAT for now.
  • Practise THIS.
  • Come back to THAT later.

That's my job.

Weronika, founder and lead Polish instructor

Your instructor

Cześć! I'm Weronika. 👋

Founder & Lead Polish Instructor AFiB Vistula graduate 16K+ students

And after 10 years of teaching Polish, there's one thing I've learned: Most students don't need more information. They need a better path.

I've seen the same frustrations again and again: “I understand but I can't speak.” “I know vocabulary but can't build sentences.” “I've lived here for years and still use English.” “Grammar makes absolutely no sense to me.” “I've started learning Polish five times.”

So I built the program I wanted my students to have: structured enough that you always know what to do next, but practical enough that what you learn actually leaves the lesson with you. I'm not here to impress you with how complicated Polish is. I'm here to make it easier for you to understand.

“I don't have time.”

Perfect.

This program wasn't designed for someone whose only responsibility in life is studying Polish.

You have work. Family. A relationship. A baby. (Or… babies.) A social life. Netflix. 😅

You don't need three-hour study sessions every day. What matters much more is having a clear path you can consistently come back to.

Instead of spending 20 minutes deciding what to study… you open the course and continue.

“I've already bought courses I never finished.”

Then please don't buy another course just because you're excited today. Buy this if you're ready to actually USE it.

But also - maybe discipline wasn't the only problem before.

Maybe you spent weeks memorizing ready-made phrases but still couldn't make your own sentence. Maybe the course didn't get straight to the point. You watched lesson after lesson, but still weren't sure what you were supposed to do with what you'd learned.

Maybe something wasn't explained clearly enough, there wasn't enough practice, and eventually you stopped feeling that exciting “wait… I can actually say this myself” progress. And when you don't feel progress, it's VERY easy to lose motivation and drop the course.

You don't need to be the world's most disciplined student. But I can't learn Polish for you.

I can give you the structure, explanations, practice and path I've built from a decade of teaching - so you're not just collecting Polish phrases, but gradually learning how to build your own sentences.

Imperfect sentences at first? Of course. Polish feeling difficult sometimes? Absolutely. But you keep going because you can actually see yourself progressing - and when something doesn't make sense, you're not left alone trying to figure it out.

You have a teacher you can reach out to and ask questions in the comments under the lessons whenever you get stuck.

Your part is showing up. Even imperfectly.

“Can't I just learn with AI?”

AI is an incredible tool. Use it. I do.

But having unlimited information isn't the same as having a learning system.

You can ask AI 700 questions about Polish grammar and still have no idea what you should learn first, what matters at your level or why you keep making the same mistake.

This program gives you the path.

And if you choose VIP, there's also a real Polish teacher reviewing your work and helping you understand where you are going wrong.

The cost of waiting isn't just the price of a course.

  • It's another Wigilia smiling and nodding while your partner translates every word.
  • Another evening with your partner's friends, staring at your phone while everyone else laughs.
  • Another year of your partner living half their life in a language you don't understand.
  • Another year saying: “One day I'll finally learn Polish.”

You don't need to become fluent tomorrow. You just need to stop restarting.

Still thinking? Ask yourself one question:

If nothing changes, where will your Polish be a year from now?

  • ↻ You can keep collecting vocabulary.
  • ↻ Keep promising your partner you'll learn.
  • ↻ Keep switching to English.
  • ↻ Keep waiting until life becomes less busy.

Or… a year from now, Polish can be one of the languages you SPEAK.

Not perfectly.
Not without mistakes.
But confidently enough to actually use it in your life.
And that's where we start.

Got questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm a complete beginner. Is this suitable for me?

Yes, absolutely! The course is designed to take you from absolute zero (A0) all the way to a confident A1 conversational foundation. Every single concept is introduced with clear explanations in English before putting it directly into active Polish speaking practice.

How long do I have access to the materials?

You get full lifetime access to the entire course, including all future updates and additions. You can learn at your own pace and revisit lessons whenever you need a refresher. If you choose VIP, you additionally receive 6 months of tutor support from the date of purchase, including feedback on the included speaking and written assignments. And yes — the feedback comes from real humans. No AI or bots checking your Polish.

Can I study on my phone or while commuting?

Yes! You can access the course via the mobile app on iOS and Android. You can even download lessons for offline study, making it perfect for planes, trains, or gym sessions.

What if I already know a few Polish words or grammar rules?

This course is especially powerful for people in your exact situation! If you already know isolated words but freeze when trying to speak or build real sentences, the Active Speaking Method connects those dots and turns passive knowledge into active speech.

Is this a live course?

No. The core program is self-paced, so you can learn when it works for your schedule rather than having to attend lessons at a fixed time. The lessons are prerecorded, but that doesn't mean you'll just sit and watch videos. You'll actively build sentences, practise listening, complete exercises and apply what you learn. And if you choose VIP, you'll also submit selected speaking and written work for real human feedback.

How long does the course take?

You set the pace. There are no fixed weekly classes or deadlines for completing the video course. You can study around your work, family and other responsibilities. What matters much more than speed is consistent progress. We recommend working through the course regularly rather than trying to complete everything in occasional marathon study sessions. If you choose VIP, remember that your tutor-support period lasts 6 months from the date of purchase, so plan your learning accordingly if you want to submit all tutor-checked assignments during that time.

How much time do I need?

Consistency matters more than marathon study sessions. Short, regular sessions are much more realistic for most students than waiting until you magically have several free hours. You don't need to reorganise your entire life around learning Polish. You need a clear path you can consistently come back to.

Is this just grammar?

Absolutely not. Grammar matters — but only because it helps you communicate. The program combines grammar, vocabulary, listening, pronunciation, sentence building and practical application so that you're not simply memorising rules — you're learning how Polish actually works.

What's the difference between BASIC and VIP?

Both packages give you the complete self-paced course and learning path. BASIC is designed for students who are comfortable learning more independently. You get the complete video course, learning materials and self-checking exercises. You can also leave course-related questions in the comments under the lessons. VIP adds personalised human feedback. You can submit selected written and speaking assignments and have a tutor actually check the Polish you're producing, correct your mistakes and show you how to improve. If you want the closest experience to having a teacher alongside the self-paced course, VIP is the better choice. BASIC gives you the path. VIP gives you the path plus personalised feedback on how you're using what you've learned.

If I choose BASIC, can I still ask the tutor questions?

Yes. If you have a question about something covered in the course, you can leave it in the comments directly under the relevant lesson, and a tutor will get back to you within 5 business days. BASIC does not include individual feedback on your speaking or written assignments — that's included with VIP. So if you're happy to work through the program independently and only need occasional clarification, BASIC may be enough. If you want a tutor to check the Polish you're producing, correct your mistakes and give you personalised feedback, VIP is the better choice.

Will I actually practise speaking?

Yes. Speaking doesn't begin when you magically become "ready." It needs to be practised as you learn. Throughout the course, you'll work on pronunciation, sentence building and producing Polish yourself rather than only recognising correct answers. With VIP, selected exercises allow you to record and submit your Polish. A real tutor then checks your work and gives you personalised feedback so you know what you're doing well and what needs correcting.

Can I ask the tutor questions with VIP?

Yes. VIP includes 6 months of additional course-related tutor support, available Monday to Friday. Meanwhile BASIC students can comment under the lessons and ask questions — our VIP students have lifetime access to our private Telegram group, where a teacher answers the next working day, and you can also always email us. You can ask questions when something from the course genuinely isn't clear and receive help from a real teacher.

Can I start my 6 months of VIP support later?

No. Your 6-month support period begins on the date of purchase. During those six months, you can submit the included speaking and written assignments for tutor feedback and use the additional VIP support included with your package. We don't offer free extensions, so if you choose VIP, we recommend purchasing when you're ready to begin learning. If life gets in the way and you need additional time later, you can purchase another support period separately. Your lifetime access to the core course itself is not affected when your VIP support ends.

What happens when my 6 months of VIP support ends?

We'll email you approximately one month before your support period expires so you have time to submit any remaining assignments. After 182 days from purchase, your access automatically continues as the lifetime version of the course. You'll still have your video lessons, materials and self-checking exercises, but tutor-checked written and speaking assignments will no longer be available for submission. If you want to continue receiving personalised feedback, you can purchase an additional support period.

Can I see examples of the exercises included with VIP?

Yes. You can see examples of the tutor-supported exercises here.

Can I download the lessons?

The video lessons are designed to be watched through your course account rather than downloaded as individual video files. Supporting resources such as eligible PDFs, summaries and presentations can be downloaded and kept for your personal use. For more flexibility, video lessons can also be made available for offline viewing through our mobile app, where supported.

Can I share my course access with someone else?

No. Your purchase gives you one personal licence to access the course. Please don't share your login details or course materials with friends, family members or other students. We monitor accounts for unusual access patterns and reserve the right to restrict or remove access where account sharing or other abuse is confirmed. If someone you know would like to learn Polish too, they'll need their own course access.

Is there a refund policy?

Yes. Your purchase is covered by our 14-day money-back guarantee, subject to the refund conditions in our Terms & Conditions. To qualify, you must: request your refund within 14 days of purchase; have watched less than 10% of the course; not have downloaded course materials; and not have submitted any exercises requiring tutor feedback. If you meet these conditions and decide the program isn't right for you, contact help@learnpolishwithweronika.com within the 14-day period. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 business days.

Will I become fluent?

No ethical teacher can promise fluency simply because you purchased a course. Your result depends on your starting level, consistency and practice. What I can give you is a structured A1–B1 learning path, practical training and 10 years of teaching experience behind the program. This course builds the foundation. What you do with that foundation determines how far your Polish goes.

Will this course prepare me for the B1 Polish State Exam?

A1 Part 1 is the first stage of your journey towards B1. To reach B1, you'll need to continue through A1 Part 2, A2 and B1. We offer courses covering the full learning path from A1 to B1, so once you complete this program, you can purchase the next level and continue learning with us step by step. If your long-term goal is to pass the official B1 Polish State Exam for citizenship or other purposes, this course will help you build the foundations you'll need before progressing to the higher levels and preparing specifically for the exam. You can learn more about the B1 Polish State Exam, its requirements and how to prepare via this link. For now, you don't need to worry about everything required at B1. First, let's build your Polish foundation properly.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes. After completing the course, you'll receive a certificate of completion. Please note that this is a course completion certificate, not an official Polish language certificate. If you need official certification for purposes such as citizenship or another legal requirement, you'll need to meet the applicable requirements and pass the relevant official Polish State Examination separately.
